Su Young Lee

Su Young LeeSu Young Lee is Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Appalachia College of Pharmacy. Dr. Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at Seoul National University in 1996, and completed an Oncology Residency (Pediatric Hemato-oncology) at Seoul National University Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea in 1997-1998. She received her Master of Science Degree in Pharmacy in 2000, also at Seoul National University, and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2003. She completed an ASHP Pharmacy Practice Residency at University of Minnesota Medical Center from 2003 to 2004. Before joining the faculty at UACP, she was a Research Fellow at the Center for Anti-infective Research and Development, Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, Connecticut, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Her areas of interest include pharmacodynamics of antibiotics, outcome and pharmacoeconomic studies, and antibiotic surveillance.

She is an author or co-author of various articles, including upcoming articles in the Journal of Infection and the Journal of Antibiotics . She has presented at the ICAAC annual meeting, and at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy annual meeting.

Dr. Lee was awarded the 2005 Young Investigator Award by the Connecticut Infectious Disease Society, and the George McCracken ID Fellows Travel Grants, American Society for Microbiology, to attend the 45th Annual Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) in December, 2005.

She is a member of several pharmacy organizations including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Society of Microbiology (ASM).
