D. Raymond Weber

D. Raymond WeberDr. D. Raymond Weber (Ray) is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University Of Appalachia College Of Pharmacy. His clinical practice site is at the Johnston Memorial Hospital and their Comprehensive Cancer Center. His primary clinical focus is in the provision of optimal Pharmacotherapy for Oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dr. Weber earned both a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He is Board Certified in both Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and Oncology (BCOP).

Dr. Weber has over thirty years of experience in the field of Health-System Pharmacy, including over twenty years specializing in clinical pharmacotherapy with an emphasis in oncology, infectious disease and pain management. This experience enables him to share practical application of knowledge with other health-care professionals, fellow pharmacists, students and residents. He has presented on hundreds of topics over the years, and has contributed extensively to hospital, local, regional and national publications. He actively participated in the Maryland Society of Health-System Pharmacists (chairperson on numerous committees, newsletter editor and Board of Directors). He holds active membership in a number of professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO); the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP). Above all he enjoys participating in the provision of optimal pharmacotherapy in the care of patients and teaching others in the process.

For recreation he enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, fishing, birding, and landscaping. He also enjoys woodworking and automobile restoration.
