Jerry Nesamony, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Appalachia College of Pharmacy. Dr. Nesamony earned his Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Prior to coming to graduate school in the United States, Dr. Nesamony earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy/B.Pharm and Master of Pharmacy/M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) degrees from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical College, Trivandrum ( University of Kerala), India.
Dr. Nesamony has done research in the areas of oral and subcutaneous delivery of insulin and microemulsion-based synthesis of nanocrystals. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has made over twenty-four presentations at various regional and international scientific conferences. His research interests include surface and interfacial phenomena, nanocrystals, microemulsions, and polymer-based drug delivery systems. Dr. Nesamony is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, Society of Rheology, and Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs.
