Bill M. Hibbitts is the Director of Information Technology at the University of Appalachia. Mr. Hibbitts is a Buchanan County native and a 1994 graduate of Mountain Mission School . He received his bachelor’s degree in 1998 from Milligan College in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He has also completed courses and seminars with Microsoft, earning both the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Administrator certifications.

Before coming to the University of Appalachia, Mr. Hibbitts worked as a Systems Analyst for Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV, and Bailey Computing Technologies, Inc. in Gray, TN.

Mr. Hibbitts is a member of the Medical Users Software Exchange (MUSE), and is currently working on his Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification (CISSP).
